How You Can Take Action Against Donald Trump

Why This Matters Right Now

 A lot of people in America are worried about the future of our democracy. In fact, most Americans believe our system of government is in danger.  

What’s Happening Right Now

 Many people, especially younger adults and working professionals, are standing up for democracy. They are marching in the streets, writing to lawmakers, and helping each other stay informed. Groups like the Sunrise Movement are speaking out, this time, not just about climate change but about the bigger picture. They know that if democracy fails, nothing else can be fixed.

In October, hundreds of organizations held a national protest called “No Kings.” The name sends a message that we live in a democracy where no one gets to rule forever. The event brought together all kinds of groups and people. Their goal was simple. To remind America that power belongs to the people, not to one man.

Even businesses are getting involved. Companies that normally stay quiet about politics spoke up. 

When businesses start defending democracy, you know it’s serious.

What the Numbers Are Telling Us

 It’s not just a feeling. The numbers show that democracy in the U.S. really is in trouble — and people know it.

Most voters believe we’re at risk. Young people are stepping up like never before. And while some states are making it harder to vote, more and more people are speaking out and taking action.


These facts make it clear. We’re in a moment that calls for action. Not later. Right now.

Nonprofits Are Locking Arms

Nonprofit organizations have come together to push back. They’re protecting civil rights, free speech, voting rights, and more. These groups are speaking out because they are under attack. Meanwhile, Donald Trump is currently targeting these nonprofits, including groups like the ACLU and Human Rights Watch.

These organizations are fighting back by supporting one another. Their message is clear: if you go after one of us, you go after all of us

What You Can Do Today

 You don’t need to be an expert to make a difference. Here are a few simple ways to take action:


  1. Learn what’s going on. Keep up with real news and talk to others about it.
  2. Donate to groups defending democracy. Even small amounts help a lot.
  3. Join local events. Protests, town halls, and coalition meetups are happening.
  4. Volunteer your time. Help register voters, protect rights, or support nonprofits.


Share what you learn. Talk to friends, family, and coworkers. Post it online.

 We believe in a country where everyone’s view and opinion matters, where no one is above the law, and where the people decide who leads. This is bigger than just merely politics. It’s about the future of our families, our communities, and our freedom.

Fall of Freedom (November 21-22, 2025)

A national day of action to raise awareness about rising threats to democracy through marches, teach-ins, and community gatherings.

A movement where people take a break from social media, shopping, and normal routines to call attention to unfair systems and demand change. 

Fuel the Fight for Democracy

 Here are some of the groups that are working hard to protect our rights and keep our democracy safe. They are standing up to those people who are trying to take away our freedom. If you want to help, you can give money to support their work. Pick one or more from the list below. Every dollar makes a difference.


ACLU 

They defend your basic rights. From voting to free speech, they take legal action when those rights are under attack.


Indivisible
They focus on the idea that power should belong to the people and that democratic systems should be fair and inclusive.


Protect Democracy
This group is focused on stopping authoritarian threats and making sure no one is above the law.


Lake County Democrats

They support Democratic candidates, boost voter turnout, and help local communities get involved in elections.
